Striker Tyreece John-Jules has had his season ended by a hamstring injury while on loan at Derby County from Arsenal.
The 22-year-old had joined the League One side on an initial short-term loan, but has now returned to Arsenal where he will recover and rehabilitate after having surgery.
John-Jules played just 14 times for the Rams in an injury-hit campaign. The blow for Rams boss Paul Warne came just days after renewing his loan stay at the club.
«I don't think he will play again this season,» said Warne. «He has had an operation and is having rehab at Arsenal at the moment, so I don't think we will see him again this season. I'm really sad for the kid because he was getting himself into a really good place, where he was starting to get some really good minutes.»
The striker initially missed almost three months of action for Derby because of a leg injury. After returning to full fitness in late November, he scored two goals before his latest setback at the end of last month.
John-Jules' future at the Emirates Stadium remains up in the air, as he will be out of contract in the summer. Despite joining the club at the age of eight, he is yet to make a senior appearance in red and white.

Previously speaking about his future, the striker said: «I've had five loans now and each one feels like you're getting further from the first team. Talks will have to happen at some point — whether I stay, go out on loan or leave on a permanent.
»I just want to settle somewhere, whether that’s signing a new contract with Arsenal or going somewhere else on
