Dier first out
Certainly keen to make an impact under new boss Ange Postecoglou, the England international was the first out for Spurs' morning training session in the Australian city. Greeted by the boss, who was waiting on the training pitch, the pair shared a quick few words before the rest of the squad started to filter down and share a moment with Postecoglou before the start of training.
Joe Rodon and Djed Spence are also in the same boat as Dier at present as they were missing from the 24-man matchday party to face West Ham. Both needing the pitch time in order to catch the head coach's eye, the duo, who were both involved in training, will have their fingers crossed that an opportunity comes their way against Leicester City in Bangkok.
The speed of the training sessions
One thing that was noticeable in the double training session in Perth was the speed and intensity of Tottenham's play. Wowing many on Tuesday with their exciting brand of attacking football under Postecoglou despite the Australian only working with his team for just less than three weeks, the Lilywhites are taking what they have learnt in training and putting it into practice on the pitch.
Crying out for attacking and entertaining football for quite some time, Postecoglou is intent on delivering it to the Tottenham faithful.
