Colin Healy and Emma Byrne will continue as Republic of Ireland Women's National Team assistant coaches for the 2024 season, the FAI have confirmed.
Healy, who played 13 times for Ireland, joined the Irish Women's set-up on an interim basis last September, just four months after he stepped down as manager of Cork City.
Byrne, who is Ireland's most-capped player having represented her country on 134 occasions, joined at the same time as the Cork man and they played an important role in the Girls in Green's perfect UEFA Nations League campaign, in which they earned promotion to League A with six wins out of six.
The duo will support Head Coach Eileen Gleeson for the year ahead along with Rhys Carr and Performance Coach Ivi Casagrande.
Wales native Carr is a new addition to the staff. The UEFA A Licence graduate currently works as Individual Development Coach at Wolverhampton Wanderers and has a Msc in Sports Coaching.
Casagrande also returns from 2023 to continue in her role along with Performance Psychologist Sarah Murray and Nutritionist Dr. Brendan Egan.
The full support staff will begin preparation for the UEFA Women’s European Championship Qualifiers with upcoming International Friendlies against Italy on February 23 and Wales on February 27.
