Mikel Arteta will have enjoyed another extended period on the training pitches ahead of Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, January 30. The Gunners picked up a dominant 5-0 win against Crystal Palace last weekend to end their three-game winless streak and regain some momentum in the Premier League title race.
Two weeks prior to that London derby victory, Arsenal were knocked out of the FA Cup by Liverpool which means they now have a weekend off with fourth-round action contested over the next few days. However, the north Londoners are back in action in just three days with a trip to the City Ground on the horizon.
Given the extended break, Arteta has been handed a number of injury updates with Thomas Partey back in team training. Gabriel Magalhaes and Declan Rice left Emirates Stadium with injury concerns and now a potential hint has emerged on their availability for Tuesday's game.
With that said, football.london have taken a look at the latest Arsenal training pictures ahead of the Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest.
Rice and Gabriel absence
Welcoming Partey back was a major boost for Arteta earlier this week, however there is still no sign of Gabriel and Rice.
The 24-year-old left the game because of a hamstring problem with Gabriel later departing the pitch because of an impact blow suffered in the first half. Arteta has previously been coy on offering out concrete injury updates and that will likely be the same in his pre-match press conference scheduled for 1:30pm on Monday.
