John Henry releases statement as Liverpool owners FSG sack senior figure at Boston Red Sox
Liverpool owner John Henry has taken the decision to part ways with Boston Red Sox Chief Baseball Officer Chaim Bloom.
Brian O'Halloran, General Manager, has been offered a new senior leadership position within the operations department at the Major League Baseball franchise. Bloom departs his role of four years after being appointed in 2019 following a 15-year spell with the Tampa Bay Rays.

O'Halloran will continue to take charge of day-to-day operations alongside Assistant General Managers Eddie Romero, Raquel Ferreira and Michael Groopman - as Fenway Sports Group's search for "new leadership" of the Red Sox begins immediately.
Last year, FSG welcomed the possibility of new shareholders in Liverpool with Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to assist with the task. In an exclusive interview with the ECHO, Henry confirmed back in March that a process had been "formalised" to seek potential investors at Anfield - but insisted FSG remain "fully committed to the long-term success of the club".
