PSG expected to make an approach for Chelsea target Victor Osimhen to replace Kylian Mbappé
According to The Athletic, PSG are expected to make an approach for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen (25) to be the star of the post-Kylian Mbappé (25) era at the Parc des Princes.
Les Parisiens are not the only club planning a summer move for the Nigerian international attacker.Osimhen has already decided to join Chelsea, according to Sacha Tavolieri. The Blues are long-term admirers of the 25-year-old and Osimhen is said to be a boyhood Chelsea fan. However, the Ligue 1 champions will be hoping they can persuade the Napoli forward that being the club’s star following Mbappé’s expected departure to Real Madrid.
The France captain has already told Paris Saint-Germain that he plans to leave the club at the end of the season when his contract expires. This has forced the French-capital club to think beyond the 25-year-old into the future and Osimhen is one of the names targeted.
Osimhen is not the only name on the list of the Ligue 1 leaders as they plan for the future without Kylian Mbappé. Barcelona’s Gavi is also a key target for them in midfield, according to The Athletic, as they look to revitalise their full squad following the departure of such a dependent figure in the former Monaco forward. In addition to their pursuits of Osimhen and Gavi, several other new recruits are expected at the Parc des Princes in the summer.
