About You UK offers counselling for children and adults

About You UK is an accessible UK counselling service, with face-to-face centres in St Helens and Southport.

The charity strives to provide affordable, obtainable counselling with an average wait time of two weeks from referral to being seen, either in one of the local centres or via their secure online Telehealth system.

About You UK provides counselling to all ages, starting from the age of five, so if you are a child, teenager or adult and are suffering with your mental health or wellbeing, they can ensure that you will receive a professional, efficient and affordable service from their therapists.

The About You team is no stranger to mental health, as they were previously known as the Philippi Trust, and have been providing counselling UK-wide since 1989. They became About You UK in December 2022.

A lot has changed in the 33 years that have passed before the relaunch and name change, so the charity has changed with it. No matter what you are struggling with, you will be in safe hands with About You UK.

They offer a varied range of counselling - talking therapies, CBT, solution-focused, family management, couples counselling and children's counselling, and they will always strive to accommodate your needs.

About You UK also offers on-site school counselling for primary and secondary schools across St Helens, Southport, Wigan and Liverpool, so school children can access the help that they need without disruption to the school day.

For business owners who are keen to support employees with their mental health and wellbeing, they offer an affordable Employee Assist Program (EAP) so that, if needed, they can access therapy quickly with minimum disruption to the working days and work performance of the employees.
