Eric Dier made his Bayern Munich debut on Wednesday night less than two weeks after joining from Tottenham, but it was not his football that got people talking.
After helping the German giants keep a clean sheet in their 1-0 win over Union Berlin, Dier spoke to the media and something immediately stood out.
Despite talking in English, Dier appeared to be attempting to put on a German accent, perhaps in the hope of fitting into his new environment straight away, as fans joked that he had 'nailed the language in a week'.
