Harry Redknapp believes Curtis Jones deserves more game time at Liverpool after starring in their 5-1 win against West Ham on Wednesday.
Jones has been on the periphery of the first team this season, but made the most of a rare start at Anfield as he scored twice in a thumping win for Jurgen Klopp's men to book their place in the Carabao Cup semi-finals.
After watching Jones deliver a man of the match display, Redknapp praised Jones' loyalty after a stop-start campaign at Anfield, and backed him to get his reward by nailing down a regular starting spot in the near future.
'He could go and walk into almost any team in the Premier League and play there but he obviously wants to stay and win his place at Liverpool,' Redknapp said on Sky Sports.
'It looks like a matter of time before he gets that regular berth in the team. He looks too good not to play.'
Jones did not start in Liverpool's drab 0-0 draw with Manchester United last weekend, but has now staked his claim to be named in the starting XI when the team welcome league leaders Arsenal to Anfield on Saturday.
Redknapp feels Jurgen Klopp will struggle to find a reason to leave him out of that top-of-the-table clash after Jones ran the show against West Ham.
'Selection problems for Saturday, great problems,' Redknapp continued.
'Curtis Jones, does he play Saturday? One or two of them tonight have made it difficult for him to leave them out. No injuries, perfect night, five goals. Absolutely slaughtered West Ham tonight.'
Redknapp's son, Jamie, was also on punditry duty for Sky Sports and was equally impressed with Jones' performance.
He was left in awe of the movement and finish from Jones for his first goal as he played a slick one-two before scoring from a tight angle.
