Scott Munn's first official Tottenham task, Ange Postecoglou's impact and the transfer fallout

When Scott Munn officially begins his job as Tottenham's chief football officer this month he will have one big appointment to confirm quickly.
The Australian was originally announced by the north London club with a start date in the newly-created role of July 1, only for that switch to get held up with delays with Munn's former employers The City Group. Now two months on and he has yet to officially take on the position, which is set to be essentially the number two to chairman Daniel Levy as he will take charge of all football operations.
football.london reported this week that Munn is now finally set to officially commence work at Spurs later this month and one of his first roles will be to confirm a new director of football type at the Premier League club to work beneath him. Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou admitted this month that it had been an "unusual" situation to come into a club during a transfer window without a director of football in place to help him build his team.
Postecoglou has leading the club's recruitment and has still been making decisions of his own in recent days, sanctioning the departures of Davinson Sanchez and Tanguy Ndombele to Galatasaray after the Premier League transfer window had closed, meaning no way of bringing in a replacement, particularly for the Colombian central defender.
