The 22-year-old failed to turn the tide for Chelsea in the second half of their 3-1 loss to West Ham on Sunday
Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has sent supporters a message after questions were raised about his performance against West Ham at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
It was a terrible start for the Blues in what has become a bit of a bogey fixture for them as Nayef Aguerd's header put the hosts ahead after just six minutes. Carney Chukwuemeka would find the equaliser just before the half-an-hour mark though with a fantastic bit of footwork and a curling effort.
Five minutes before the break, Mauricio Pochettino's side were awarded a penalty following Raheem Sterling's darting run in to the box before he was brought down by Tomas Soucek. Enzo Fernandez stepped up but saw his spot-kick saved by Alphonse Areola who dived down to his right to palm the ball away.
That saw the momentum swing in the Hammers' favour, as they started on the front foot again in the second half and were rewarded when Michail Antonio's shot from outside the box flew past Bobby Sanchez and into the bottom-left corner to give them the lead.
Despite having more of the ball, a lack of creativity, movement and venom about them meant Chelsea could not find an opening, even after Aguerd had been sent off for a second bookable offence.
West Ham managed to keep the score in their favour and would cement their grip on all three points when Blues record signing and debutant Moises Caicedo tripped over former Stamford Bridge left-back Emerson in injury time in the penalty area. Lucas Paqueta fired it past Sanchez and made sure the Blues lost their first London derby under their new manager.
