Crystal Palace have agreed a deal with Oliver Glasner to replace Roy Hodgson as manager, talkSPORT understands.
Glasner is set to take over as Crystal Palace manager after the south London club agreed a two-year contract with the Austrian.
Talks advanced on Thursday over a move that will see the 49-year-old's contract run until 2026 after a poor run of form in recent months.
Palace have won just four games out of their last 18 Premier League matches to see them potentially involved in a relegation scrap.
Hodgson suffered a serious medical incident on Thursday morning in front of concerned players and coaches and needed to be taken to hospital.
It saw his press conference on Thursday afternoon cancelled where he was expected to field questions on his future as manager.
Crystal Palace gave an update on Hodgson's health, stating that he was stable in hospital.
Reports emerged late on Wednesday night that Palace chairman Steve Parish had decided to let Hodgson go this week.
It comes after a 3-1 defeat to Chelsea on Monday night, which has left the Eagles in 15th in the Premier League.
With just four wins in their last 18 league matches, they have plummetted down the table and five points away from the drop zone.
Palace face Everton next on Monday night in the Premier League and it is now shaping up to be a six-pointer.
But Hodgson will not be in the dugout with Glasner set to take over after Parish failed in his pursuit to bring in Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna.
Glasner led Frankfurt to glory in the Europa League in 2022, defeating West Ham in the semi-finals before beating Rangers in the final.
