Aaron Ramsdale was at the centre of scrutinyfollowing his mistake against Brentford. However, Arsenal still confirmed their place as league leaders for the first time in 2024 and will hold the position through the international break following the 1-1 draw between Liverpool and Manchester City.
The England international was culpable for Yoane Wissa’s equaliser before the half-time whistle. Taking too long to clear the ball, the Bees’ forward closed down the stopper before the struck ball cannoned back and into the net.

The Frenchman is right to speak of the saves made in the second half which, despite the Gunners' dominance, could have swung things in the other direction so quickly. It might indeed be the final game that Ramsdale plays, but even he showed his appreciation.
