Chelsea picked up a very much-needed three points with a victory against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge. Mykhailo Mudryk scored early on for the Blues but Michael Olise equalised just before the half-time break.
But Noni Madueke's late cameo for Chelsea was a game-changer. The substitute won and then took the penalty for the hosts and was ice-cool from 12 yards to win it for Chelsea.
Christopher Nkunku was handed his full Premier League debut for Chelsea, with the likes of Cole Palmer and Raheem Sterling both missing the game through suspension. Mauricio Pochettino actually named the Blues' youngest-ever side in a Premier League match with an average of 23 years and 21 days.
Early on, Mudryk was on hand to give the hosts the lead at Stamford Bridge. The Ukraine international was in a clever position to finish after a fine cross from Malo Gusto on the left-hand side.
However, despite pressure from Chelsea to score a second, Olise equalised just before half-time. A cross from Jordan Ayew found Olise at the far post and he took the goal brilliantly.
Chelsea thought they had won it with just over 10 minutes to go when Nicolas Jackson volleyed it past Dean Henderson. The striker, however, was deemed offside after a check from the Video Assistant Referee.
