Jamie Carragher has sent a message to Jarell Quansah ahead of his first Liverpool start.
The 20-year-old was named in Jurgen Klopp's starting 11 for their trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers with Joe Gomez filling in at right-back due to Trent Alexander-Arnold's injury. Gomez and Joel Matip both had strong performances on the eve of the international break, in the win over Aston Villa. Warrington-born Quansah was a late substitute after the hamstring injury to Liverpool's vice-captain, Alexander-Arnold.
Klopp made the bold decision to bring the defender on against Newcastle United, replacing Matip, with Liverpool chasing the game at St James' Park. The Reds were a goal and a man down, following Virgil van Dijk's red card but Quansah was introduced in the latter stages with match-winner Darwin Nunez who went on to inspire the turnaround.

Ibrahima Konate returned to first-team training this week after a spell on the sidelines with a muscle injury. However, Quansah's impression on Klopp is evident as he has been thrust into the first-team upon the return from the international break as Liverpool chase a fourth straight win.
After the team news broke from Molineux, Carragher lauded the defender - who featured in the youth ranks alongside his son James Carragher. He tweeted: "Good luck to Jarell Quansah.
"Watched him at the academy since he was 7yrs of age, great kid & player."
